And on the $US (I study this market very closely and have done for some time), the analysis I have certainly indicates that the $US will run hard against many other major currencies in the next few years.

I hold a large position in $US (and it is against $AUD), some recent analysis I have been getting seems to be indicating that $AUD is approaching a tipping point and could go one way or the other. Which of course makes me all of a sudden somewhat very much less comfortable with my $US position, needless to say I will be keeping a very close eye on that going forward. But as far as I am concerned the jury is still out on the $AUD - the analysis is that the $AUD could become quite strong.

Not all currencies have to become weak against the $US

Having said all that, I would be very happy if your view of the $AUD plays out, regardless Co and Ni prices look set to rise on the fundamental: that supply will not be able to keep up with demand for the foreseeable future.

It is interesting to note that commodities in general have continued their rebound from the early 2016 lows (many of them) in tandem with a stronger $US (which has come off a low itself) over the last few months. I think in the economic environment we are moving into in 2018 onward that commodities will continue to rise with the $US, which of course is counter intuitive - but that's my take for what it is worth.

as you know oil is traded widely in $US. What do you think will happen when this electric revolution is in full swing. I'm not so sure about the $US being strong in the future as oil plays a big role for demand of the $US
