There's been a general consensus that EVs range isn't good enough. Very smart move from Elon Musk releasing this new model with 1000km range. More than enough to satisfy the doubters and proves that range is no problem. More batteries and bigger batteries in EVs equals more demand for lithium. Simon Moores has tweeted that the Nissan Leaf should consider moving from a 40kWh battery to 70-100kWh battery after seeing the Tesla presentation. I agree with him. Better range opens up the door to a larger clientele base.
