The government would loose billion not millions so there is no way in hell they will cop that. What you will find is they will introduce a new tax that'll be based on kilometres driven per year. Via gps or the car fitted with some sort of setup that enables mileage to be recorded and transmitted. The more you use the roads the more you pay, simple. About 6mths ago on radio they where talking about it, they are already concerned about loss of revenue in years to come . In fact they are already missing out on revenue with each new EV bought.
