there are no biomarkers in living patients discovered yet for pd, if there was we'd likely have a cure by now. my god man, if there was a blood biomarker and/or cerebral fluid biomarker test(s) available they would have used them. autopsy shows the presence of lewy bodies in the brains of almost all parkinson's patients but not every person with lewy bodies displays parkinson's symptoms so even with biomarkers they'd have to do the UPRDS tests.
pet scans in which you inject radioactive l-dopa into the brain can show you if there is more dopamine in the brain as compared to OFF stage prior to getting the NTCELL treatment and none of the 4 patients showed an increase.
they got their result, NTCELL at 26weeks was no better than placebo. just like the 6 or more similar trials in the past using cell or gene transplants. believe what you want. best of luck.
