While I agree the chemicals used in Gas mining are toxic and need to replaced with better alternatives (even if more expensive) I do not agree with this post.
Apart from the above, it is not only nonsense but dangerous nonsense. It presents a vision of the future which is not achievable given our current economic and political environment. And an unachievable vision is a useless vision even if technically possible given unlimited money and time
As usual the green movement mistakes what is technically possible in principle with what can actually be rolled out in reality.
Renewables must be pushed hard to be sure, but the most important thing is the phase out of coal. Where gas replacement can be done but renewables take too much time money or are just not up to scratch, we need to go for it.
