This is something that's relative to your situation.
A large parcel is very different for someone who has a total investment pool of 5k than it is for someone who is managing 500k capital pool.
My interpretation of a 'large parcel' would be when it starts to make up a large percentage of your portfolio. One of my stocks has recently exploded and it now equates to 80% of my portfolio. This is a large position for me, even though the actual number of shares I have and their dollar value are much smaller than the positions held by a lot of other people in the same stock.
Only you can provide the answer to what a large parcel is.
