The cynic in me says it’s because of cheap(er) listing fees and gullible money to sell the story to. But maybe I’m just too cynical in general and looking at it the wrong way.
Sure, many of them probably want to succeed as well but I’m not sure if remaining listed is the best judge of ultimate success? Remaining listed can come down to purely how much money they have and how they manage it. It all catches up eventually though I guess.
