    From ABC :-
"Government won't rule out reimposing share cap
In 1979, the State Government imposed a 15 per cent shareholding cap on Santos, to stop West Australian businessman Alan Bond from taking over the company.
The cap was lifted in 2007 on the proviso that the company maintain a strong presences in South Australia.
Mr Koutsantonis did not rule out reinstating the cap, if needed.
"We can reverse it. But we're not contemplating any of that," he said "
    &
"Mr Koutsantonis said he could also use the State Government's role in the foreign investment review board process to try and block a potential sale."
