Thanks Ozapp. Brings back memories. As a shareholder of Broken Hill Holdings (lost my dough) in 1988 I did a cold call and was able to go down the shaft to the "dammed up drive" you describe. Rinsed the mug offered in the said water and had a cuppa. 30 years later I'm still kicking. It was said then that there is still plenty of AU below 23rd level.
I've been in the mine at Walhalla also and the guy there told me there is plenty of water, but it is chockers with arsenic.
