He was only canvassing undecideds? Those would be a couple of related explanations that don't seem to have occurred to you.

How do you know this stuff about AS's vote*? The bitterness and recriminations keep on coming and it's largely one sided. I've done what I can to pose an alternate view.

(*In any case, AS had to clean up GC's mess so I'd consider it a bit rich expecting him to vote for a main cause of the damage. TBH.)

Be careful what you wish for people. Brexit hasn't gone so well.
I have been hoping for a breakout of commonsense but it's been variable in here.

I was also hoping for a breakout of goodwill but we are still getting from some quarters the same refusal to face reality and some who would have the company go into reverse and wheel out the same old conspiracy theories that don't line up with the facts. The anger is still palpable and it's largely irrational IMO.

Let's hope we get some good news soon. What appalled me is in a phone call GC telling me he was pleased I was happy at the prospect of a consolidation. Happy is not the right word. But I let that go through to the keeper.

Thing is, a consolidation is inevitable. Am I happy? No. Is it inevitable? Yes.

I face realities, and GC is great at glossing over them.
