Yes Alan, be there Derby day onwards. Love it. Greatest racing carnival in the world without a shadow of doubt. May not be the best horses/races etc but as a carnival - awesome. Some great fillies around too!!!
Melbourne is one of my favourite cities in the world. Plan to spend half my time between Perth and Melbourne in furture years - love both places for different reasons.
Anyway, Gardiner was always at the races over here. He was involved in the racing industry (still is I think) as an owner. His father is an owner and trainer (I think)
Maladivan looks hard to beat on Saturday. Closest thing to 'sure thing' I can recall in a Caulfrield Cup. Also like the look of Douro Valley.
BTW is that a picture of Tony Wilson?
