This was the post I wrote before you bought up the issue of advertising .... you will see that I was not bemoaning anything to do with gov advertising.

I am reminded of the $600 million kitty inherited by the Victorian ALP after Kennett was ousted.
Kennett was a tough man and I'm not here to give him a plug other than to say he accumulated that money for Victoria after been given the job to solve a woeful economic position left buy an incapable ALP.

A few years later Brumby regularly began to criticize the federal government for not giving them enough money to spend!
One wonders what his problem was given the surplus position he had handed to him and additional GST that is passed on add an incredible speeding camera revenue and pokie widfall etc.

Given this is a financial based chat site I am amazed that there are so many posters with little idea for the waste and excessive spending that so regularly squeezes budgets under past ALP management."
