Laboratory Assistant - Full Time
Biota is a leading Australian research-based pharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery and development of novel medicines for the treatment of human diseases.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-focused person with laboratory experience, to support scientists working in the chemistry and biology laboratories. Tertiary qualifications in science required, preferably in chemistry.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Receive laboratory deliveries and ensure appropriate and safe storage
Maintain laboratory chemicals database, including MSDS records
Conduct periodic chemical inventory audits
Perform minor servicing of general laboratory equipment
Conduct all work in a safe manner to ensure a safe work environment for all employees
Some manual lifting will be required to carry out the above tasks
The appointee will join our facilities team, reporting to the Facilities Officer in new and well-equipped research facilities located at Notting Hill, Victoria. Competitive remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
