A person should not have to attend an AGM in order to get answers to questions.

The AGM isn't a general investor relations meeting; it's to run through motions that have been predetermined - usually within a somewhat strict time limit.

Not only would it be improper to raise such questions at an AGM, but in today's digital age, it makes no sense for a person to attend a meeting in WA to receive an answer to questions which could much more easily be answered via email correspondence or a phone call.

I find it incredibly disheartening - as I mentioned the other day - that when people attempt to have an analytical discussion, or raise information which they'd like a genuine opinion on (especially after having made several attempts to contact the company to answer it), they get shut down and attacked.

Telling somebody to "shut up" because they didn't attend an AGM to raise concerns, is rude, single-sighted, and unnecessary, @Key Sole.
