I don't believe the US dollar will ever collapse, not at least in my life time.
The value of the dollar may go up or down just like any other currency. I believe the US dollar has already made a long term top and will go down from here. As the FED gradually raise interest rates the US dollar will lose value. There is a widely believe myth in the markets that higher rates are bullish for the currency and negative for gold. In practice it is not. A higher rates means the cost of money is going up which in turn means the money you holding in your hand will buy less. Proof is just to observe what has happened since the FED started raising rates since DEC 2015. The zombies sell gold and buy dollar in anticipation and the smart money comes and reverses the situation. Yet we'll here in the financial channel all the time higher interest curbing gold demand. It is a very interesting topic and will take more than this to explain appropriately.
Higher rates can only be negative for gold if they are far higher than the nominal rate of inflation. I don't think anyone see that happening any time soon. Rates going back up to normal is many years away if ever.

Why I am talking all this jack...s..t. All this talk is not going to make my BDR shares go higher.
Looks like one more bull capitulated this morning. I'm afraid I might as well succumb to this relentless downward pressure. I personally never have been so frustrated, not even in OCT- DEC 15. At that time I could understand looking gold at USD 1050-1080. Today close to USD 1300 and the share price goes to yearly lows. Unbelievable. The company is promising the highest ever quarterly production in its history and still people are willing to sell at the yearly lows. I guess, they obviously don't believe the guidance.
There has been a great sentimental damage. It will take a lot to repair it. The shorts are milking it.
Hardly any posters left here. Used to be 40-50 post a day, now there is hardly any. One could get all the world affairs news on this forum. Most of them have sold and gone. The one who are left holding the bag are so frustrated, having nothing left to say.
