"strangely enough Yps jewish culture flourished under fascism. Italy flourished under Mussolini and Austria was both a fascist state and a centre of free discussion & learning, with Freud being one example.
It was Adolf and his nazi anti intellectuals that gave fascism a bad name."
Olive sweetheart, you have your facts mixed up. Jewish culture did not flurish under fascism. and Austria did not flourish under fascism. Fascism and free speech is very oxymoron a schema, to say the least. The two do not go together!! As for Austria being Fascist, and Freud having excelled there, again, you are parasags away from the truth. Austria was a free country until 1938, when Hitler's Nazi Germany invaded and subjugated (annexed) Austria. Freud was then an old man (74 years old) and represented no threat to the Nazis. He died few months late. Nazism is only a derivative (a very bad one for that matter) of the parent inhumane ideological philosophy, Fascism!!!
