    Lovely jubly...

The storm has come and gone.

Violent seas make for heavy going, throwing many out of the boat for lack of a decent grip of the rails...or sinking some boats entirely who took on the storm in spite of their lack of sailing skills. Many who sank will never return.

Violent seas are really only a place for the brave and experienced sailors...but typically, the best catches are usually found in the most violent seas, which is what brings the old-ttimers back time and again.

In the face of such heavy weather most of the fleet prefer to seek anchor in a safe haven, where they will ride out the storm from a distance...they will repair their nets, set their long-lines and basically spend the time getting ready for when they eventually do venture out again...but until the volitity of the storm has passed, they will not go to sea for fear of being sunk!

They will however miss the big catch...but in so doing, will be safe in the knowledge they will not be sunk and can always go to sea when the storm passes.

When the calmer waters return however...which they always do...the fleet will gradually venture out once again; first the smaller boats, or more adventurous sailors, then eventually, almost as if a starter pistol was shot, everyone else will suddenly move in unison for fear of missing out on the reaminder of the catch.

Meanwhile, those who met the storm head on...and survived...are filled to the brim both above and below deck with their storm catch.

    Cheers!
