Good question. I must admit I do not know much about MSF. I have however read Jim Rogers book "Hot Commodities" and from this get the impression he would prefer owning sugar futures for exposure rather than a single company. One reason amongst many for why he is bullish is the potential for supply problems/disruptions. If you take exposure via commodity futures you may get rewarded from supply disruptions whereas a single company may get hit. For instance Namoi cotton recently cited the drought causing it problems, so despite cotton price doing well the last few months it isn't helping.

On another note I know CSR is not a pure sugar play but I am sure if the sugar price recovers strongly the CSR share price should head in the same direction.
