Very unlikely to be impacted. Especially if the fires occured in more rural areas. You can do a search on Insurance Claims + Fires.
Share price depreciation is more due to higher Aussie exchange rate. Once again QBE represents excellent buying opportunity at these prices. I am very surprised that it came back to current levels even though expected NPAT for full year is expected to come in in excess of $2bn. That would bring down its PE ratio to 12 = very cheap for a growth company.
