One thing that tells is how generous DMCI have been. The Philippines is awash with nickel laterites, so why did they want to partner with RML in particular? Why did they thrown in the Sodaco property and offer to free-carry the smelter contribution? The answer is because they wanted a piece of the Acoje pie.
