What do we know about the lower zone at Stokes Bay 1?
Here my take for what it worth.
Vuggy porosity can be very good if the vugs are connected, from the mud loses seen in Stoke Bay 1 and it a vuggy porosity reservoir zone then you do have connectivity and hence permeability. Some times the vugs only have a limited distribution so it makes field development hard, where are the sweet spots.
Another reason for large mud loses could be due to open fractures.
We still have no information is the lower zone was oil wet, the wireline logs gave no information due to bad hole conditions. MWD I assume also didn’t work. So we might have huge oil or just water.
Just have to wait for the DST info, which should be soon.
