    There was nothing wrong with the 97% fibre goal, but it needed a longer timeline. Our current federal government just didn't have the balls to take on a long-term project, they decided to play political games. The end result is "fraudband". FTTN will be obsolete before the NBN rollout has finished. FTTP would have been sufficient for the forseeable future (2030, 2040, 2050+).

    A waste of billions so Tony Abbott could achieve "political product differentiation" and push the NBN as a "debt and deficit disaster". How's the debt going now, after a few years of Coalition? How well is the NBN being received by consumers? How well are our telco shares going?
