I clarified this point at the most recent meeting.

The company has been approached by a number of people with rare cancers who want to use NOX66, but as Noxopharm is not yet conducting its own clinical trial, it has had to tell these people that their oncologist must seek approval from the TGA to conduct Compassionate Use treatment. Unfortunately, in my view, the lack of patients indicates that oncologists thought it would be a waste of time.

The abscopal response by the first (and only) compassionate patient might prompt a change of mind. For the sake of patients, I certainly hope so.

Incidentally, if you look at the "Moving toward first registration" slide in the latest presentation you will see (in purple) that the company is currently conducting a dose-escalating radiotherapy trial for Prostate cancer that matches the treatment regime received by the compassionate patient. You will also see that in early 2018 the company intends to run a parallel study for ALL tumours. This will include patients with rare cancers - a de-facto compassionate program that will be controlled by the company.

If you met Graham Kelly in person, it would seem inconceivable that four years ago he was on his last legs. He looks fit, he is completely free of cancer, he works incredible hours, and is doing a fantastic job for Noxopharm shareholders.
