What a balanced, sane and realistic post. Some "investors" are really just gamblers and if their chosen horse doesn't come in a winner in very short order they become very dissatisfied. As you say, building a business takes time. Real investing in what are really risky startup businesses are for the patient. If you want predictable safe returns, buy the banks or something similar. I will also be taking up the SPP.
