Victorian govt ripped big dividends out of Melbourne Water these past few years, reinvestment in water infrastructure...negligible. Record stamp duties. Record GST revenues. Record gaming revenues.
If they don't have adequate dollars they must be frittering them away somewhere because this as good as it gets in terms of economic conditions and revenues. I don't fancy going through the budget papers but they're probably suppressed under FOI anyway, they said they would loosen FOI while in opposition but things are worse now than they were under Kennett with secrecy!
