great post - watso a staunch unionist - and at the same time a capitalist pig - could not agree more.
unions are needed as the "counter balance" to people who would pay their workers sfa. without the unions, no doubt, it would be a downward spiral.
of course, there are good and bad people in unions, just like there are good and bad bosses.
watso was always happy to pay his union dues - but of course, always thought it a bit of a bummer that non unionists, got the same benefits as the unionists ( for eg from enterprise bargaining arrangements).
i have no doubt a lot on non unionists, are a bit worried about the outright attack on the union movement by the libs, as even if they are not members, they still benefitted from the presence of the union
