I heard Bernie Banton interviewed today and he didn't appear too upset - he did, after all, front up to Abbotts office with a posse of press and according to him got a bit aggro when Abbot didn't show. He also admitted that the CFMEU had written to Abbot telling him that he was going to call on him but there was no confirmation from Abbot that he would be available. He conceded that there might have been a misunderstanding.

If it wasn't for mass PC some (certainly not moi ) might say to Bernie something about the heat and the kitchen?

Abbot apologised - he's had better days.

ps - I don't think Abbott has any say in what drugs get onto the Pharmaceutical Benefits list.
