Hi Miles. In 80's and mid 90's Telstra was leading the world in ripping Australian Consumers off. Thanks to Libs for bringing in some competion, lets give credit where the credit is due.
As for Goverment developing "hybred" cars I would leave that to private industry, there are already some hybrids on the market, GM is investing in China to develop hydrogen powered cars and cars to run on bio fuels are already availible in Europe. Our tiny car industry has Buckleys, they have been geting it wrong for ages anyway, who drives Holden nowadays?
Goverment's job is to formulate policies that create positive enviroment for innovation and research. Trouble with Libs imo is that they failed to do that, they are always reacting (late) to what has happened in past rather than planning for the future.
