tbulm, quite correct, and at the risk of repeating myself from an earlier post, the market does not give a tinkers toss about rock chip samples. The proof was today. I can't even imagine what they were trying to prove or demonstrate with a grab bag of rock chips from hither and thither. Probably less than 1okgs each, completely unrepresentative. And why even assay these and report the results when the historical work on a 8 tonne bulk sample showed 10% cobalt. Its a totally meaningless exercise and moreover, the rock sample assays have done more harm than good to the share price as its most unlikely they are in any way relevant to whats in the ground. If the results were released to give the SP a boost to ensure the SPP gets over the line, well, management clearly underestimates the saviness of Mr Market. Rock chip sample assays are on the nose these days as being an unreliable indicator of whats in the ground. Anyway, I take comfort in the historical 8 tonne bulk sample yielding 10% cobalt. Now thats meaningful. Lets hope we don't see any more of these frivoulous type sampling episodes on rock chips in the future.
