I often listen in on 2GB, and Tony Abbott has always made himself available for these interviews on a range of subjects. Many times he has alluded to his quest to take over hospital system from the states. After time he no longer mentioned it and was only called to reiterate party policy and has sounded distracted and disinterested for some time.

The afternoon after Kevin Rudd announced his health policy Phillip Clarke managed to wrangle an interview with Abbott. It was awful, Clarke reminded him of his ambitions and he sounded distressed, us knowing that Rudd could very well fulfill an ambition that was Tony Abbott's passion for some time.

Love him or hate him, he has the arrogance, the nature necessary to fight for the surrender of health from the states. Morris Iemma and Abbott have come to a cautionary agreement on this.

Party let down Tony Abbott, leaving him to suffer through that interview leaving him with some limp wristed back-up line that he didn’t believe, why should he care about them? Is his seat under threat?
