Hey guys in my experience, share values tend to drop after a consolidation announcement. I got caught in WTE when they did a 1 for 10. The price went from 3.7c and on the day of consolidation dropped to around 30c. The lost about 50% of its value (now trades around 16c. Another recent was EXT which was trading around 12c when the announcement was made for 1 for 10 consolidation.
After learning from WTE I got out of EXT with a handsome profit before watching it drop 40%.

Beware of consolidations with small caps.
