But seriously, I think you know that I didnt agree with every move of Howard, Chuck, and one of my regrets was that he had, till now, no serious opposition to keep him entirely honest. A strong Govt NEEDS a credible opposition, no?
And now we are possibly going to have the same situation, but in reverse and much worse.
I see Rudd's strong showing just now as not so much a strong perception of Rudd, but a considerably weakened perception of Howard. A Liberal loss now would decimate the Libs, even unto Opposition. Did I hear you cheer?
The thought of wall-to-wall Labor, Federally and state-wise, with a greater mandate than Howard had, scares me.Who's going to keep THEM honest?
I just dont think it'll be a good idea.
Nothing can really affect me any more, Chuck, and personally I dont give a hoot in hell.
But I still care for Australia..........
