The reason for seeking a diplomatic settlement was to avoid the loss of up to 1,000.000 lives mostly SK that would eventuate if NK invaded the SK. With US support the NK army would be pushed back and defeated but not before Seoul fell to the North

Perhaps george you should consider the facts and try to get a more balanced perspective rather than resort to the language that is clearly uncalled for.
