Please forgive me if I sounded like I suggested you weren't to be taken seriously.

That is not what I meant.

Like me you obviously are watching for a bear to appear.

In a bull market I am always looking for the bear and in a bear market am looking for the bull.

I find that to be prudent and many possible setups will appear before the real thing.

Those setups are a time of caution and can be faded based on any mechanical system you can name.

At this time we seem to be on the cusp with plenty of weight to the bear scenario.

Maybe it doesn't happen, but I feel you're in good company, namely mine, lol.
