    Many reasons why a business such as this can run at a loss.
    Creaming (excessive) cash off the top can be one of the many....these people buy a franchise and suddenly see all these wads of cash and think "stuff the ATO, I'm havin' some of that"
    Don't tell me it doesn't happen.
