The truth is although one wishes that it wasn't.........is that Dave's assessment is unfortunately......correct.

Those who come out and quote whatever, from the Talmud...or from the Old Testament......are nitpicking, simply because as Yak pointed out......that was then............today, out of the question, both from secular and religious perspectives.

Slavery in the Muslim world.........exploitation of women.....children etc etc is the norm, both from sexual and work related perspectives.

The Immams of today condone it....not only turn a blind eye, but these practices are openly condoned.

Rabbis explicitely condemn these activities....without exception.
