Turisk, while on the surface we have anti discrimination laws and political correctness people are sexist and discriminate. The grumpy old white men here remind me of that.

Abbott was your typical macho male and had a gloves off approach when it came to politics, didn't matter if his opponent was a woman or a man dying from an incurable disease, he was in there to to win the fight.
There is quite a contrast between being second in command and leading, people can do very well being second in command but leading takes a whole lot of attributes and skill. Bishop IMO doesn't have the attributes and skills to lead, let alone command the respect of the male dominated political scene.
Their is a bitter resentment for Turnbull here because he is successful and wealthy, a bit of tall poppy syndrome. Turnbull doesn't gloat about his wealth, far from it he is in touch with his humble up bringing where he was brought up by his father from a young age after his mother left them. Not a nice thought to know your mother had abandoned you.
Turnbull is intelligent, articulate, confident and with a good sense of humour has a bit of charisma , people less so resent that, it's a bit of an Australian thing.
