    Glad you asked that question.

    The obvious difference is that the AGM is not a one on one conversation with someone trying to extract information.

    The AGM is a completely different environment. The company goes there 'expecting' to be questioned and as demonstrated with MK and the EGM earlier this year, if info is released that the market wasnt aware of.....they make an ASX announcement shortly afterwards as we saw with the African revelations.

    Its a public forum.

    The company is there for business.

    Uran know too that there is going to be a lot of disgruntled shareholders looking for further clarification, disclosure and a big..

    PLEASE EXPLAIN MS HOBBS!!!!

    The more I think about what she said, what impact that had on PEOPLE INVESTING in the company, the more it leaves me with more questions than answers.

    The opportunity cost here for those who stayed with the promises and the declarations of production is for many considerable.

    NEVER has Kate Hobbs offered her explanation and apology to shareholders for misleading them into investing in a company on the pretense/promise of production.
    Apart from ERA and RIO nobody (Paladin was not yet a producer back when those comments were made) was producing in Australia.
    Kate Hobbs said we are better than those other 'explorers' and we will join the big players in 6 months.
    We will have 2 possibly 3 projects start producing by July 2007 and to boot we will have another advanced project in Uzbekistan.

    Uran has not achieved any of these things...and all the while either hidden behind 'secrecy issues' 'confidentiality' and declassification and election issues.

    Folks ive had enough of the stalling tactics from this company. Ive marvelled at their silence and lack of accountability in their silence on Ukraine stalled negotiations earlier in the year when the Discovery deal went quiet and the second option to acquire Discovery lapsed...without explanation.
    The Uzbekistan silence.....no explanation however good enough a year ago to be mentioned as the advanced project to compliment the other projects.

    Like many here I want answers. AND..I want a committment to production from management in Ukraine.
    They know damn well whats going on and the AGM is the place to get that clarification.

    I invested based on Ukraine production by July 2007 and Kate Hobbs big roadtrip in the latter part of 2006 telling all and sundry that Uran would be in production.
    Even in the last 3 weeks of last year she was still saying Uran would sign a deal before the end of the year!!!

    No accountability for her comments. NONE!!!

    Kate Hobbs confidence and her declarations convinced me and 'many others' to invest.

    Seems though once the plan was set and the results being a multiplied share price.....the PR stopped...and the silence began....

    Thats not acceptable. Its not ethical. And its certainly not professional.

    Next week at the AGM the company should be questioned on every perceived angle on the failures and the promises..particularly with Ukraine and the complicated Discovery situation.

    62strat back to your question;

    "Can they do the same at the AGM?"

    Yes Strat they can. but 12 months of negotiations and no deals means they will need to give us information on project developments and timelines.
    I hope the 'no deals in 2006 and 2007' is hit home to them..particularly after the promises and the major share price falls, the bewildered media/broker coverage who have more questions than answers due to Urans lack of disclosure and silence.

    Make no mistake, Uran and their management strategy has been a disaster. Their shareholder relations non existent in relative terms and their attitude...indifferent.

    They may be making 'progress' they may be close to closing several deals, they may have been stalled by elections in Ukraine...but sooner or later the question is;

    How many more excuses and reasons do Uran want to push to shareholders?

    Less than a week before the AGM they have done nothing but erode shareholder wealth, dilute the shareprice, distribute shares to cowboys who consequently sold the share price down further, lost a major holder selling at a highly sensitive time...then his dad the Chairman...the SPP at crucial lows.....and then in the last 3 days of the financial year a 'few thousand dollars' was thrown into some shares as some sort of show of 'support' for the company from the MD and the Chairmans wife?
    Oh yeah, and of course the Nickel got floated off for peanuts...and the unbelievably patronising comments from the MD at the time that your shares in GWE are now 75% higher!!!
    ...she failed to mention that those shares, approximately 1/10 the holding in Uran shares, were overshadowed by enormous falls in the Uran shareprice that negated all those % gains and much much more.

    Its not a good look is it?

    Folks its simply not good enough no matter how you look at it.

    Why am I regurgitating this?

    Because it matters. Its necessary to go to the AGM with an historical context, because now ALL questions are now in that 'historical context'

    Its so important to let Uran know that and not to accept an indifferent allof approach from a company yet to prove itself as a legitimate and authentic player in the uranium sector.

    Margaret Mead once said;

    "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever does."

    Right now theres a small group of shareholders here who can make a difference next week at the AGM....

    (62strats question)
    Satori,

    You are on record as saying something like "I don't ring Co.'s anymore...learnt a long time ago they only tell you what you want to hear."

    My question is..."can they do the same at an AGM?"
