The Aus and Indo studies were designed to obtain data with which to train the algorithm. Cannot be blind because you need the outcome for training. The published accuracy figures from those studies were obtained by leave-one-out cross-validation. This is a distinction that anybody with "experience in research" should quickly discern.

I'm guessing that rather than showing her the original material you've spun her a story, she's responded to your tale on face value, and here you are relaying a passing comment as if it's a considered academic opinion. Not ethical!
