OK EPS - earnings per share - the portion of a company's profit allocated to each outstanding share of common stock. Earnings per share serves as an indicator of a company's profitability. THE POINT IS THE MORE SHARES ON ISSUE the more the EPS reduces!!! that is just plain embarrassing.
The PE is the price ratio comparing the price to the earnings PER SHARE! So if you have a huge amount of shares on offer the PE is affected as well. How can you not know this?
You quote two pillars of fundamental analysis which both rely on the shares on issue.....That is why I am going on about it.....
