It's the prefect industry for TTT to break into. When it comes to bicycles and racing competitively, the number 1 limiter is weight. Just look at professional cyclists and the lengths they go to, to try and save 500grams of weight. Bike manufacturers are faced with the same problem, weight...They are trying to build the lightest and strongest bikes in order to attract the attention of professional teams that race at the highest level. Bring in a TTT bike frame that is 34% lighter and 34% stronger and you have a game changer right there, why, because as the current models become lighter, they have a habit of cracking, because they lack the strength.
The Tour De France is the most watched sporting event on the planet each year, and if TTT have signed up with a major bike manufacturer, then their brand has huge potential exposure through cycling. This is a great strategic move IMO, focusing on an industry that is so reliant on materials being light and strong, that have a big media presence, is a win win for TTT.
