There is no exact method of valuing a pre-revenue app/platform but in general you start with the founding team.

If the management of the company are your neighbors or friends who don't know anything about technology, then value might be worth a few hundred or a few thousand dollars.

If the management are great engineers and salespeople that you've worked with, then might be worth tens or thousands of dollars. Maybe even a million dollars.

If the management have a proven track record like Doug Barry & co , then might be worth hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars.
