I can't understand why you suggest it's outdated? What's changed? I still know no successful day trader. But I know many who have changed to long term and re committed to their work role.
But my focus was on the tax benefits of being classified as a regular trader, I havnt come across the benefits yet regarding tax. Only detrimental to them. A family member is one caught by her accountants position of her activities even tho she has stopper regular trading this past year. Her awesome platform she bought unbeknown to me has gone broke with the money trail being quite interesting. This is now with law enforcement and should hit news at some stage when investigations are complete. Her detailed file notes indicate she was getting unlicensed advice and many other points. Thankfully her record keeping of each transaction and phone call is highly detailed and pleasing the investigators immensely
