The Dow is only made up of 30 stocks and there is always too much emphasis placed on it. But having said that, global markets usually (but not always) will follow the Dow.
For small companies like ELK, what the Dow does is irrelavent. Remember last Thursday night the Dow dropped 360 points yet ELK went up on Friday.
