With the following verses and the ones you leave off near them, there are around 20 events or things mentioned which YOU to this day have NOT been able to show, HOW they link to the likes of Mark 9:1 = They will "SEE" the kingdom of God with power. SOME OF THEM WILL.
WHICH,,,,,, CLEARLY YOU,,,, don't know what it is!
------------------------
The question being - do these verses describe two events or one event?
Eh,,,, Mr's DBT, that is NOT the question at ALL, BECAUSE your post bellow was not referring to these verses you are now providing and have been trying to provide and NEVER have been.
DBT 19-10-17
Jesus is also reported to have said that those standing before him would not die before he returned in great power....two thousand years later we still 'know not the hour''
Verse reference = The likes of Mark 9:1 ...........Verily I say unto you, that there be "some" of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have SEENthe kingdom of God come with power. Lookie, Lookie, Lookie, What's going to happen? What are they going to SEE? Well, it's right there in your face for everyone to see, not wotsup's opinion but what's before our very eyes = Some of them, will see the kingdom of God with power = END of story and "a" prophesy.
Well,,,, lookie here, some of the events within and surrounding the second prophesy, your verses bellow which as crazy as it sounds, your trying to say, "somehow" fit into the above verse.
And anyone with half a brain or at least "eyes" can see, there is no mention of all these events and things in the likes of Mark 9:1.
And no manipulating, twisting by DBT can possibly change this FACT = Not possible.
No mention of the Temple being destroyed as in the events your trying to align Mark 9:1 to.
No mention of many will come in my name.
No mention of wars and rumors of wars.
No nation rising upon nation.
No mention of earth quakes.
No one getting beaten.
No brothers betraying brothers.
No gathering the elect.
No judgement for every man No this generation will not pass. No fig tree No mention of the day or hour no man knows. No great tribulation No mention of, grand appearance as the lightning coming from the east. No darkened sun or moon. No mention of stars falling from heaven.
And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.....Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place…“ Mark 13:26-30)
“Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near. Then He told them a parable: Behold the fig tree and all the trees; as soon as they put forth leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place.“ (Luke 21:27-32)
Time to come out of your bewilderment, trance or whatever has got a hold of you.
So in your second prophesy here, the 16 odd things I mention are part of one event which is not the same event described in the likes of Mark 9:1 and as you say, words say what they say and mean what they mean = what part of your "own" understandings have you been blinded to?
Just in case your eyes let you see again, here again is the first prophesy/event. Verily I say unto you, that there be "some" of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have SEENthe kingdom of God come with power.
