But when you say things that make sense, I’ll give it a red hot crack..

Firstly, I did enjoy the whole RAR anecdote.. and remember seeing a telstra enclosure where a mobile phone tower was built with a cyclone mesh fence, and on it it had a sign that said ‘BILL POSTERS PROSECUTED’

So over a weekend, someone used an a3 printer a laminator and lots of spare time to put up 12 posters of , Bill Gates, William Shakespeare, Bill Cosby..... I lost it..

So, my reasoning for agreeing with you, was that neither of the supercaps are a stand out. There isn’t much improvement that can be made on BEST or the Ionic supercap, because surface area is surface area.. and ionic fluid can only assist so much.. and as you and I both recognise, there can only be so much storage in a super cap.. when we are talking about 1 atom thickness material.. it doesn’t get any smaller than that for electrons to store in.. unless there is something in quantum materials we don’t know about yet..

Where we do disagree, (and I am happy for you not to see my point of view), that with external circuitry, of the type I have provided links to circuits for you before and can do again.. super caps are a viable option for battery use. They may not meet the same energy densities of li ion batteries, but if it takes 30 seconds to charge and lasts 10 times longer, I am happy to charge my, drill, phone, whipper snipper, vacuum, possibly even my car, more often, likely twice as much as a li ion battery..

There is always compromise with electronics, otherwise Tesla vehicles would have twice as many batteries and twice the mileage, (a little less due to weight).

Oh, ok, I’ll include the link of a supercapacitor regulated power supply again, allowing a supply of 6 to 58 volts to be achieved using 2 Skelton supercapacitors.. which according to you is impossible and you would need millions of supercaps to do because they discharge logarithmically (which is true)...

but can be regulated to provide a lineal supply.
