Imo, this thread is likely over-cooked with tremulous posts from big burley, older men.
I’d have thought only aboriginals have had genuine reason to find multi-culturalism scary for the best part of 250 years?
Over that period Australia has been populated by absolutely millions of immigrants from no doubt 100’s of countries and their locally born progeny.
My three have very diverse friends and complete acceptance of a multi cultural Australia, starting from schooling with something like 27 nationalities. Our family has become increasingly multicultural.
Whatever is supposedly “Australian”is surely continual work in progress?
Imo, all would be and will be fine if immigrants have the values and skills needed to contribute to a multi-cultural Australia.
