re: charts mean nothing amp !!!! Hey Liz - AMP trading at 2004 PE of around 14 - NAB will pay minimum 30% above that (future synergies allow NAB to pay even more then this....) When have you ever seen a takeover of this nature at less then forward PE of 20? TAB AND TABCORP - TAH Paying 22 times TAB;s 2004 earnings...makes AMP look like a bargain at anything less $8.50 (AMP 2004 PE of 18 odd) so I'm being very conservative aiming for $7.50 Take over by FEB, you watch the bidders come out of the wood work once NAB puts an offer on the table....
