" It is the Turnbull Federal Government that has stepped up to the plate to begin the process of resolving network stability and electricity pricing. "

Yeah with non helpful cameos from dropkick scomo brandishing lumps of coal in federal parliament.

Dex I have found the ducks and drakes played by turnbull & co against the SA people and its government , to be mostly counter productive.
I note those who ooze intelligence create their own energy supply.

Not sure why bhp arced up about Olympic Dam, after all they screwed the SA government down on the royalty's from OD, the least they can do is supply their own energy needs for the expanded mine.

The juxtaposition between the WA electricity price and that of the rest of the country is I trust an aberration over the medium to long term given retail prices dont reflect the full cost of production let alone a profit yet here in the West.
With projects such as mooted for the Pilbara, I'm confident that electricity prices will plateau and fall over time.

The Albany wave project offers another option other than coal.

The plethora of lithium mining companies with mines in various stages of production here in WA could easily make WA ,the Green Energy capital of the country ,particularly when we have Lithium processing plants in Kwinana as well, combined with company's on the cusp of commercial Hydrogen production also based in WA, theres lots to be excited about .

Trackless trams could be the answer to Perth’s traffic woes

“It is estimated to cost between $10-$17 million per kilometre — about four times less the cost of a standard light rail like the MAX system proposed by the previous Barnett government. It could also be made locally.”
The trackless tram would be electric and powered by lithium-ion batteries that are recharged at each station in 30 seconds.
They can carry between 300 and 500 passengers, depending on the number of carriages, and travel at up to 70km/h.
It is “trackless” because it is autonomous and guided by on-board optical systems that follow magnetic strips painted on the road.
As a result, it does not require the digging up of streets and disruption to businesses, houses or traffic while it is being built.
