Risk26, I respectfully disagree. I believe they were in MTC solely for their Li resource. The cobalt spinoff was just a side job.
They saw something if not two Chinese players wont be fighting for the stake in MTC.
This really is a procedural thing. Once the MERN transfers happen, the cheq will be handed over.
